I remember the full Moon in Aries last year vividly (it was October 1st if you want to check your calendar for what was happening then) – being a fire sign and the first sign of the Zodiac, it’s a powerful one. It is like the start of the full moon cycle and the closing of the last one which finished with the Pisces full moon last month. It also closes the Aries cycle which began with the NEW Moon in Aries in April (this was April 11th).
For me the closing of this Aries cycle is a big one. It was actually on this date that I started running my cyclical marketing Masterclasses and opened the Intuitive Business Membership I now run. I can see how this has been on it’s own journey and it now evolving to the next step as all things do. This full Moon last year was when I launched my new website, combined my marketing background with my coaching and mentoring skills and started running Moon Circles as well. I find it fascinating to look back each full moon as it helps with the releasing process. Often we hold onto what we don’t truly need or want anymore, the full moon reminds us to release!
Aries is connected with our self-identity, who we are being in the world- it’s the initiator, the daredevil asking us to face our biggest fears in life. We have also been experiencing major passive-aggressiveness with Mars in Libra, (Mars is the ruler of Aries so an important one now) so the few days lead up to this moon may feel even more tense and emotional than with the usual full moon build up. I have already found myself not sleeping very well- often happens to me around the full moon.
The retrograde is finally ending just before the full moon, however we have a shadow period where the planet is re-tracing the ground it covered during the retrograde period, so if anything major has come up the last few weeks, especially in terms of your identity and how you want to show up in the world / share your message, this may rear up again or you may find you can release or process something meaningful through expressing yourself in a way you may not normally do. Retrogrades often get blamed for a lot of ‘bad’ things happening, but really they are a gift – a gift for us to pause and process. Like someone pressing the rewind button on something they want you to really see properly and not miss. Consider what you can process and release with this powerful Moon.
In case you aren’t familiar with what a retrograde is and how can a planet move backwards, I love this visual for a bit of clarity.
