The void of course moon occurs when the moon makes its final major aspect with another planet before changing signs. In general, it’s ideal to plan ahead so you can avoid big events happening during a void of course moon phase and also avoid needing to make big decisions during the time.
If you pull this card, it’s a sign not to make a decision right now- hold off, pause, take a break. Now is not the right time to change direction or sign a contract.
Eclipses are dynamic cosmic occurrences that activate the lunar nodes. Simply put, the moon glides across an elliptical that is constantly rotating around the zodiac. The highest and lowest points of this orbit correspond with the lunar nodes, which appear in our birth charts as south and north nodes. The south and north nodes, often referred to as the Nodes of Fate, symbolize our past and future — our karmic pathway. Accordingly, eclipses activate these nodes within our birth charts, illuminating our destiny.
There are two types of eclipses: solar and lunar. This card refers to a Solar Eclipse.
Solar eclipses occur during the new moon phase when the sun and moon are positioned at the exact same degree within the same zodiac sign. In this configuration, the moon passes between the sun and earth, temporarily obscuring the sun. If this occurs during daylight, the result is breathtaking: For several moments, the sun is completely obscured by moon’s silhouette.
Eclipses happen about four times each year and are nothing to be afraid of. They simply correlate with changes and transformations in your life, depending on where they’re taking place in your birth chart. It signifies the end of something and start of something new (though you may not yet see it). They are incredibly powerful and can be quite emotional. This card is saying something new is here or very soon will be. Hold space and keep going.
In a full moon (or Lunar) eclipse, the sun momentarily blocks the illumination that creates a full moon, resetting the current emotional cycle and allowing the shadow to reveal what is hidden in our subconscious or keeping us blocked from seeing more clearly. The spiritual aspects of the moon represent our deep emotional tides, and so when the shadow passes over the moon, temporarily ceasing the illumination of our emotional being, there is an opportunity to reveal and transform our current emotional state.
Lunar Eclipses are deeply transformative times that can bring abrupt and sudden change. While this is true, there is another side to eclipses that is important to remember. Eclipses are like the cosmic helping hand of the Universe.
This can be a time of leaving what is safe and comfortable in order to grow more fully into yourself.
The good thing about eclipses is that generally you can trust the direction they are guiding you in. Eclipses bring about events that are part of the cosmic plan. These are important times for reflection upon your life, whom you need to forgive, or what you need to let go of and move on from.
Big changes are coming soon. If things feel difficult now, this is happening for the greater good. Trust and hold firm. Really think about what you want to release to allow something new into your life.
The Astrological Blue Moon occurs when we have two full moons in one solar month, which means that during the sun’s passage through one zodiac sign the moon is full twice instead of once. The second of those moons is a blue moon. Because a full moon occurs when the moon is opposite the sun, the full moons both occur in the same sign as each other. Astrological blue moons occur roughly every two and a half to three years and are always preceded a month earlier by a full moon in the first one or two degrees of the same zodiac sign. This means it is a special occurrence. Hence the saying ‘once in a Blue Moon’.
Something special or unusual is on the cards. Don’t miss an opportunity coming your way- keep your eyes open!
Fixed signs are stabilising signs that root in and fully bloom. After the cardinal signs, they flesh things out, with concentrated focus.
There’s one fixed sign for each of the four elements. They are Taurus (earth), Leo (fire), Scorpio (water), and Aquarius (air).
A fixed moon is about seeing something through- not about starting something new.
Do not give up now! See this through. You may be tempted to give up on something or let it fall by the wayside. This card is saying it will be worth it to keep going for now. If you are known for not seeing things through, this card indicates the project on your mind now is the one to change your habits for.
These signs start every season—Aries kicks off spring, Cancer starts summer, Libra begins fall and Capricorn is the first winter sign. Thus, they are the leaders and “idea people” of the zodiac. These signs prize originality and like to be first in everything they do. Count on them to initiate a winning idea or plan.
Take the initiative- do not be shy now. Spend time around goal-driven people to help. However make sure you respect the opinion of others in the process!
These signs end every season—and have learned the hard lessons taught by spring, summer, fall and winter. They know that all good things come to an end, and their role is to prepare everyone for the changing of seasons. Mutable signs are the adapters of the zodiac, a little bit older and wiser. More flexible and comfortable with change than other signs, they can “chameleon” themselves to fit into a variety of situations. Mutable zodiac signs are also the editors of the zodiac—the ones who complete the package with a winning touch. A plan can be sparked by a Cardinal sign, built by a Fixed sign, then perfected with the critical eye of a Mutable sign.
While Mutable signs can get a reputation as flaky because they wear a zillion different hats—but that’s the way they like it. There are not enough hours in the day for all of their ideas, and these Mutable zodiac signs LOVE to tinker. Doing things with their hands, taking photos (and adding the perfect crop and filter, naturally)—these hobbyists and social media stars have talent with information, whether verbal or visual. They are often inventors and craftspeople. They’re never boring—but they’re never at peace either!
A sense of serenity can be achieved when a restless Mutable sign finally accepts that no single person, hobby or job will every make them 100 percent happy. They are the ultimate multi-passionate multi-hyphenates, driven by FOMO and constant curiosity.
When the Moon is in a Mutable sign, it is a good time to be adaptable, flexible with your plans and to expect the unexpected. This may be a hint that you could tweak or adapt something without making it more complicated than it needs to be. It may also be allowing yourself to have multiple different projects on the go and be OK with that!
