As we come into the last few weeks of this year, we have this final fresh start- a chance to think ahead to 2022 and set our intentions.
I have quite a lot of Sagittarius energy in my chart- most of my 1st house is in Sagittarius, and Jupiter the ruler of this sign is also in my first house, so I have already been feeling this energy coming in.
Sagittarius is represented by an arrow. It has an energy of exploration, expansion, and wanting to experience everything for the sake of experience. It can be quite a flighty energy and whilst it is always moving, it may not always have a strategy behind the movement.
If 2021 has got you feeling like you just need 3 weeks in bed to recover, you are not alone. I’ve been speaking to a lot of people about this sense of trying to push ourselves but just feeling emotionally spent and really tired and run down. If you have a sense of this, listen to what is coming up for you and feel into some gentle 2022 planning
New Moons are about reflecting internally and thinking about what truly matters to US – our core values, beliefs and desires. This is not about pleasing others, but about coming back to yourself. I love that each month the Moon calls us to remember our inner desires. The Moon in Astrology represents our emotions and subconscious, and in the darkness of the new Moon is the best time to truly feel that without distraction of the high energy vibes we feel with the Full Moon.
Normally, when we have a new moon, there is a conjunction between the Moon and Sun- as seen from earth, they are both in the same place in the sky, BUT it’s not exact. When we have a New Moon that happens on one of the Lunar Nodes, this is the exact point when the alignment will be perfect check out this visual here for a great guide
We’ll see more follow-up aspects across 2022 that re-affirm these themes.
The fact it is a Solar Eclipse as well means the focus is more on how we project ourselves within groups- what matters to us in what we share with others.
The follow-up aspects in the Astrology of 2022 will continue this theme for us. Until October 2023, there will be seven eclipses across the Taurus-Scorpio axis, collectively referred to as an “eclipse series.” As this is the second n the series, it would be wise to pay attention to events that are happening around this time.
The Lunar nodes are connected with destiny, purpose and the karma we bring with us from former lives. In your birth chart, the north and south nodes are always opposite each other and create a powerful dynamic between your past (South Node) and future (North Node).
Because eclipses correspond with these placements, they signify major, abrupt change on both an individual and collective level. Eclipses are believed to speed up fate and expedite the inevitable. For instance, if you’ve been thinking about quitting your job and starting your own business but don’t have a clear timeline, eclipses NOW!!” This is a time about bringing yourself fully into alignment with who you truly want to be.
With the Moon Eclipsing in Sagittarius, it may call us to reflect on any adventure / travels / exploration we are longing to do (I know I am!) . Sagittarius is also connected to higher education and learning- with Gemini on the opposite side of the Axis (the sign opposite in the Zodiac). It is about truly embodying your learnings and harnessing your insights to develop yourself. It can be a comfort zone just to take in information all the time. But there comes a point when you need to process and share so it’s a two-way flow. If you’ve been filling your head with loads of great knowledge and ‘stuff’ this year, perhaps now is the time to consider what you want to actually do with it. What impact do you want to have and what direction is your Sagittarius arrow pointing in for the next year?
